- A: Just like every other day when I wear a dress and flats
- B: A nightmare
I know leggings are not pants. I thought this shirt was long enough. I didn't realize it was in fact not long enough until I took off my coat at work. Also known as: Too late! You're stuck in this outfit until 4p.m.
I contemplated wearing my winter coat all day, but my body temperature is naturally about a thousand degrees. That wasn't going to happen. Instead, I tried to sit at my desk as much as possible, run-walking to the copier or the restroom when absolutely necessary. Until about 10 AM when I was like, "Ugh. Forget this." And I just got on with my day. And everything was fine.
Will I ever knowingly wear my butt as an accessory to work, again? No. But after I acknowledged that yes I'd messed up, and no there was nothing to be done about it...I felt very liberated. (My spirit, not my butt which was already too liberated thank you very much). The next time my bangs are hanging in my face weird, or my outfit feels off, I'm going to remember this: acknowledge it, embrace it, let it go.
I can't be the only one who's ever done this...share in the comments about that one time you walked out of the house wearing _____________ and probably shouldn't have.
