The first installment of this new series fell in my lap when online jewelry company Anjolee contacted me. They wanted to send me a customized ring and have me tell you about the experience. I poked around their website to see what kind of jewelry they make and discovered it's largely engagement rings. Like, diamond engagement rings. Gorgeous, expensive diamond engagement rings.
I do a lot of online shopping and feel very comfortable with it. But I've never considered making a huge purchase online (both financially and emotionally) like serious jewelry. So I was a little taken aback by the prospect of buying ( *cough cough* encouraging Dan to buy) diamonds online.
I can say that the jewelry on Anjolee's website is very impressive. I ordered a simple wedding band that arrived in beautiful condition. (Note: my band was set with cubic zirconia, not real diamonds, for obvious reasons i.e. Anjolee's not going to send some random blogger a super expensive diamond ring!). The setting is gorgeous and delicate and seems to be very well-made. The CZ sparkles and shines - so I can imagine the real deal would too.
