La Roche-Posay's Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser ($14.99) is a very gentle, basic cleanser. I use it for a quick, refreshing wash in the morning; and as the second step of my double-cleanse at night. It doesn't do a great job of removing makeup on its own. The light, fragrance-free formula is non-sudsing and contains a few nice skincare ingredients such as Ceramides and Niacinimide. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, not tight, and ready for the next steps in my over-40 skincare routine.
I really enjoy the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer ($19.99) for daytime wear. The lightweight gel/cream formula is fragrance-free and feels silky on the skin. Upon contact, it immediately soothes and hydrates my sensitive skin. The formula wears well under makeup, though I recommend letting it sink into the skin for 5 minutes or so. When I'm in a rush to get makeup on over the moisturizer, it occasionally pills. I appreciate that it includes Niacinimide in the ingredient list.
I'm 40 years old with neutral/dry skin. I'm very fair with warm/neutral undertones.
